Celtic Legacy's history stretches back to 1997 when the first demos were recorded by Dave Morrissey and Dave Boylan after they left their previous band, Stomp. The band proper began in November in that year when rehearsals began on the material which eventually ended up on the first album which was recorded between February and March the following year.

It's been a roller coaster ride since then with many people coming and going, the band itself going through several uncertain periods, and the new album Guardian Of Eternity just starting to make waves.
